Mississippi Gulf Coast Mardi Gras Parades & Events

If you thought you had to drive to New Orleans, Mobile, or Pensacola to enjoy Mardi Gras, think again. Carnival season is quite active here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast!

The first 2017 Mardi Gras parade is scheduled to get underway Saturday, January 28 in Orange Grove.  Carnival season finishes up on February 28 with Fat Tuesday day parades in Bay St. Louis and Biloxi, concluding with the night parade in Gulfport.

Saturday, January 28, 2017 @ 2:00PM - 27th Annual Orange Grove Carnival Association Mardi Gras Parade. This family-friendly parade stages and originates at the Goldin Sports Complex.  It begins at the north entrance, turning left and heading west on Prudie Circle. Parade then turns left, heading south on Three Rivers Road, turns right and heads west on Dedeaux Road, ends at the intersection of U. S. Highway 49.  All float and parade traffic will exit north bound on Hwy 49 only.  

Saturday, January 28, 2017 @ 7:00PM - 6th Annual Krewe of Casa Mardi Gras Gala.  Here's a chance to enjoy Carnival season while helping abused children.  Highlights include live music, dinner, and a silent auction.  Category Six from New Orleans will be performing live.  Proceeds benefit Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Hancock County.

Saturday, February 4, 2017 @ 9:00PM - 50th Annual Krewe of Nereids Mardi Gras Ball. Location: Mississippi Coast Coliseum, 2350 Beach Blvd, Biloxi. Witness the presentation of the 2017 royal court and tableau. Then, enjoy dinner and dance! Attire is strictly formal: evening gown and tuxedo are required for the supper dance. No charge for viewing the tableau, but you must call for an invitation.

Saturday, February 11, 2017 @ 1:00PM - Second Liners Mardi Gras Club Parade. This family-friendly parade starts at the Gruich Center.  Runs west on Howard Avenue, west on MLK Boulevard, north on Caillavet Street, then east on Esters Boulevard.  Parade ends at D.C. Bush Park.

Saturday, February 11, 2017 @ 1:00PM - 42nd Annual Ocean Springs Elks Mardi Gras Parade.  Begins on East Beach by the Ocean Springs Yacht Club, continues through downtown Ocean Springs, and finishes at the Ocean Springs Upper Elementary School (aka the high school.)

Saturday, February 11, 2017 @ 1:00PM - 9th Annual Krewe of Legacy Mardi Gras Parade in Pass Christian. Includes floats, horse and buggies, golf cars, antique cars and more. This parade starts and ends at Neco’s Market Place, located at the intersection of Vidalia & Cable Bridge Road (Exit 24 off of I-10.) Exit north on Firetower Road to Vidalia Road, then east on Vidalia Road to Cable Bridge Road.

February 12-18, 2017

Sunday, February 12, 2017 @ 1:00PM - 14th Annual Lizana Mardi Gras Parade.  This family-friendly parade features over 30 floats with plenty of throws. Begins @ Lizana Elementary School: 15341 Lizana School Road.  Continues to Cable Bridge Road, north to Moran Road, then finishes back at the school.

Saturday, February 18, 2017 @ 10:00AM - 17th Annual Biloxi Children's Mardi Gras Walking Parade. Parade begins on Howard Avenue at the I-110 overpass, continues east on Howard to Reynoir Street, and ends at the Mardi Gras Museum. Late registration and sign in for participants begins at 9:00AM. This is a non-motorized parade featuring wagons, strollers, and bikes, plus a Mardi Gras costume and float contest.  Sponsored  by the City of Biloxi.

Saturday, February 18, 2017 @ 11:00AM - 33rd Annual Bay St. Louis Krewe of Kids Mardi Gras Parade.  This is a children's parade, designed for non-motorized vehicles.  Bikers, walkers, and wagons are all welcome.  Parade will roll down Dunbar to Highway 90 and then reverse back to the starting point.

Saturday, February 18, 2017 @ 1:00PM - 9th Annual Krewe of Little Rascals Children Mardi Gras Parade. Begins at Pascagoula Beach Park.  This parade features bikes, wagons, shopping carts, walking, skaters, etc.  No motorized vehicles allowed.  Route begins at the Pascagoula library, continues to Delmas Avenue, then finishes in front of Anchor Square.  The City of Pascagoula will be providing awards for the best costume and float.  Registration begins at noon.

Saturday, February 18, 2017 @ 1:30PM- 27th Annual Mystic Krewe of Pine Island Mardi Gras Parade. Lineup begins on Johns' Bayou Road in Vancleave at noon.  Parade starts at 1:30.  This is another family-friendly parade. Tailgaiting party will start at noon, prior to the parade lineup.

Saturday, February 18, 2017 @ 6:00PM - 46th Annual Long Beach Carnival Association Mardi Gras Parade. This is a family-friendly night parade, held in downtown Long Beach.

Saturday, February 18, 2017 @ 7:00PM - 28th Annual Gautier Men's Club Mardi Gras Parade. Begins at the Jackson County Campus of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College on Highway 90 in Gautier.  Continues to the old Singing River Mall, then finishes back at MGCCC.

Sunday, February 19, 2017 @ 12:000PM Noon - 50th annual Krewe of Nereids Parade in Waveland. Begins at the intersection of Drinkwater & Highway 90 in Bay St. Louis, in front of the Bay St. Louis Governmental Annex Building.  Continues west, ending at Auderder Street & Highway 90 in Waveland @ West End Restaurant.

Sunday, February 19, 2017 @ 7:00PM - 50th annual Krewe of Veterans Ball.  This ball is held at VFW Post 3373.  Located at 4724 Vega Street in Pascagoula.  Cost is $15 per person.  This year's theme will be the Roaring 20s.

Friday, February 24, 2017 @ 7:00PM - 9th Annual Ocean Springs Carnival Association Mardi Gras Night Parade. This parade is hosted by the Ocean Springs Carnival Association.  It begins @ Front Beach and continues to Porter.  Then on Washington to Government Street, ending at Holcomb.

Saturday, February 25, 2017 @ 12:00PM Noon -  Krewe of Diamondhead Mardi Gras Parade. Begins at the Diamondhead Community Center and ends at the Country Club.  This parade consists of approximately 30 units with many nicely decorated golf carts.

Saturday, February 25, 2017 @ 1:00PM - 41st annual Jackson County Carnival Association Parade in downtown Pascagoula. This year's parade route will be from the corner of Pascagoula and Ingalls, east to Market Street, north to Jackson Avenue, then south returning to the starting point.  This is a family-friendly parade.

Saturday, February 25, 2017 @ 2:00PM - 47th Annual Krewe of Gemini Mardi Gras Day Parade in downtown Gulfport. Begins on 19th Street, proceeds towards Highway 49, then continues past Hancock Bank and throughout downtown Gulfport.

Saturday, February 25, 2017 @ 5:30PM - Krewe of Neptune Mardi Gras Parade in downtown Biloxi. As has been the case in recent years, this parade be held on Saturday, NOT Fat Tuesday.  All the floats in this parade come from New Orleans. Features large double decker floats, marching bands, and other marching clubs.  Parade begins on Main Street.  Proceeds south to Highway 90, west on 90, north on Lameuse Street, west on MLK Boulevard, then north on Caillavet Street to Bayview Avenue.

Sunday, February 26, 2017 @ 12:00PM Noon - 87th Annual Pass Christian Mardi Gras Parade.  This parade is hosted by the St. Paul Carnival Association.  Starts at the corner of Davis Avenue and Second Street, proceeds to Scenic Drive, then turns west to Henderson Avenue. From there, it's north to St. Louis, east to Church Street, south to Second Street, then east on Second to Davis Avenue.

Sunday, February 26, 2017 @ 1:30PM - 29th Annual North Bay Area Mardi Gras Parade. This is a family-friendly parade which begins at the St. Martin Community Center, rolls down Lemoyne Blvd to Central Avenue to Rodriguez Street to Automall Parkway, then back up to Central Avenue in D'Iberville.  Approximately 70 units will be in attendance.  I believe this is the only Mardi Gras Parade which encompasses two cities and two counties!

Monday, February 27, 2017 @ 5:00PM - 4th Annual Mystic Krewe of the Seahorse Lundi Gras Parade.  This event will be held in Old Town Bay St. Louis.  King Oceanus and Queen Tethys, Masters of the Seas and Protectors of the Mexican Gulf will be in attendance.  Parade begins at the corner of Blaize and Bookter Street, ending at the new Bay St. Louis Community Center.  There will be a reviewing stand at Old City Hall on Second Street.

Monday, February 27, 2017 @ 8:00PM - Gulf Coast Carnival Association Coronation Ball. Tableau will be held from 8:00PM-10:00PM.  Eight dukes, eight maids, two royal pages, king and queen will be presented to the public.  Dance to follow from 10:00PM-1:00AM at Mississippi Coast Coliseum, 2350 Beach Blvd in Biloxi. Tableau is free and open to the public. Dance by invitation only.

Fat Tuesday, February 28, 2017 @ 1:00PM - Gulf Coast Carnival Association Mardi Gras Parade in downtown Biloxi. This tradition begun 108 years ago, with King D’Iberville and Queen Ixolib reigning over the largest Mardi Gras parade on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Features over 100 floats.

Fat Tuesday, February 28, 2017 @ 1:00PM - 10th Annual Krewe of Diamonds Mardi Gras Parade in downtown Bay St. Louis. Features the Gulf Coast's only predominantly African-American Krewe, formerly known as the Krewe of Real People. Parade route is down Main Street, turning on to 2nd Street and on to Union Street.  Then, continuing to Blaize Avenue in front of the Historic Depot

Fat Tuesday, February 28, 2017 @ 5:30 PM - 47th Annual Krewe of Gemini Mardi Gras Night Parade in downtown Gulfport.  Begins on 19th Street, proceeds towards Highway 49, then continues past Hancock Bank and throughout downtown Gulfport.
